Job summary

Follett Higher Education in Westchester, IL seeks a Retail Construction Project Manager to oversee renovations, relocations, and new store builds. You will ensure on-time openings within budget, coordinating with vendors and university staff to deliver high-quality store openings.

You will manage budgets, forecasts, schedules, and communicate with leadership while traveling 40-50% across the U.S. and Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of Retail Construction experience required.
• Experience with open store renovations is a plus.
• Ability to engage in 40-50% travel, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform all assigned duties of a Project Manager in the Store Design Department.
• Ensure accurate invoicing, purchase orders, and monitor receivables for all projects under his/her direction. Forecast construction budgets/costs for utilization across projects.
• Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple large-scale projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.
• Implement and review quality assurance procedures and develop detailed work plans, schedules, and project estimates with status reports.
• Collaborate with VP of Store Planning and other leaders to assist Marketing in capital project budgets and process improvements.
• Communicate project information to leadership and partner departments.
• Identify areas for internal improvement and develop implementation plans; monitor team status reports.
• Analyze, negotiate, and adjust project scope when budgets are exceeded.
