Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee new store, expansion, and remodel projects from pre-construction through warranty close-out. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and project management skills to handle store projects from pre-construction to close-out.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor/contractor performance across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes with GC/CMs and subcontractors for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Coordinate bid documents, RFQs, and ensure timely, accurate bid packages.
• Oversee contracts, purchase orders, processing, and payment of requisitions for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Manage change orders to control project budgets and avoid scope creep.
• Review redlines on ARCH/MEP plans for code compliance and prototype adherence.
• Provide value engineering feedback and develop cost-saving ideas.
• Plan and monitor detailed project schedules, milestones, and phased construction activities.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Refrigeration, Real Estate, Preconstruction and Operations on schedules and handoffs.
