Job summary

Dematic is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor. The role involves traveling up to 100% to customer locations to supervise installation quality and safety across diverse projects.

You will lead on-site teams to meet Dematic standards and coordinate with project managers. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electromechanical systems, at least ten years of troubleshooting experience, and familiarity with AGVS/AS/RS or conveyors.

Qualifications

• Ten years of troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts with OT compensation.
• Experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors helpful.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for on-site installation quality on the project site, including manufacturing and subcontractor quality.
• Maintain quality checklists and submit Corrective Actions when discrepancies are identified.
• Oversee on-site safety, including safety audits.
• Assist with routine equipment trial runs to ensure it meets specifications and Dematic standards.
• Provide on-site reporting on schedule and resources to the project manager and/or customer.
• Assist with training contract labor and subcontractors in installation of Dematic equipment.
• Write concise trip reports within required Dematic timeframes.
• Identify problems and suggest practical corrective steps when issues arise.
• Must travel on short notice up to 100% and be on call as needed.
• Push, pull, crawl, squat, and walk on large construction sites.
