Job summary

Dematic is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join a growing team. The role involves working on customer projects and traveling to locations 100% of the time, with bases across the continental USA.

You will ensure installation quality, safety, and on-site reporting to the project manager. Requirements include ten years of electromechanical troubleshooting, experience with AGVS/AS/RS/conveyors, OSHA 10, and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ten years or more of experience in troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
• Experience with AGVS, AS/RS or conveyors is helpful.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience with quality assurance and safety programs (OSHA).
• Willingness to travel 100% and work weekends/holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and operate PC/software tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure installation quality on project sites including manufacturing and subcontractors.
• Manage quality checklists and disposition corrective actions when discrepancies arise.
• Oversee on-site safety, conducting safety audits.
• Assist with routine equipment trials to meet specifications and Dematic standards.
• Provide on-site reporting on schedule and resources to the project manager.
• Train contract labor and subcontractors in Dematic installations.
• Write concise trip reports within required timeframes.
• Identify problems and propose actionable solutions.
• Travel on short notice and spend up to 100% time traveling; be on call as needed.
• Move across large construction sites and work in varied climates.
