Job summary

Dematic is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to lead installation quality across project sites in the continental United States. The role requires frequent travel to customer locations and adherence to Dematic standards, with a focus on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has ten years of electromechanical troubleshooting experience, knowledge of AGVS/ASRS/conveyors, and OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred).

Qualifications

• Ten years of troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
• Experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is helpful.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience with quality assurance.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts - OT compensation.
• Must know the use of personal computers, database functions, and communications.
• Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation quality on project sites, including subcontractor quality.
• Maintain quality checklists and submittal of Corrective Actions when discrepancies are identified.
• On-site safety responsibilities including safety audits.
• Assist with routine equipment trial runs to ensure specifications and Dematic standards are met.
• Provide on-site reporting on schedule and resources to the project manager and/or customer.
• Assist with training of contract labor and subcontractors in installation procedures.
• Write concise trip reports within required timeframes.
• Identify problems and suggest practical solutions when issues occur.
• Travel up to 100% on short notice and be on call as needed.
• Move around large construction sites by pushing, pulling, crawling, squatting, and walking.
