Job summary

The Ryder System, Inc. Manager Logistics role oversees the efficient operation of client accounts, including P&L responsibility, customer satisfaction, and safety. 50-60% travel to customer locations is required.

You will lead salaried and hourly teams, coordinate with senior management and customers, manage payroll, and analyze weekly and monthly P&L data to guide profitability. A comprehensive benefits package and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• 2+ years managing and leading direct reports.
• Advanced knowledge of transportation/warehouse logistics operations.
• Advanced knowledge of safety and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of salaried and hourly employees and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to meet needs and expectations.
• Be responsible for payroll of employees.
• Analyze weekly and monthly P&L to determine profitability and report to senior management.
• Handle accounts payable, vendor quotes, and customer invoicing.
• Lead Safety & Security meetings and provide safety training.
