Pace Analytical is seeking an instrumentation specialist to execute maintenance, repair and qualification testing of analytical instrumentation (HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS, LC/MS/MS). The role requires advanced to expert knowledge and involves calibration, troubleshooting, and guidance to staff.

The position includes drafting SOPs and qualification protocols, coordinating with customers, and occasional travel (25-50%). A strong background in analytical instrumentation and software is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or a closely related field and eight (8) years instrument/equipment troubleshooting and repair work; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Advanced to expert knowledge of HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS and LC/MS/MS; strong troubleshooting and calibration capabilities.
• Experience administering instrument, mechanical, electrical, and software-based functions and leading projects.

Aufgaben

• Perform advanced to expert maintenance, diagnosis and repairs of HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS and LC/MS/MS.
• Provide calibration and qualification of HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS and LC/MS/MS.
• Recommend and implement improvements to analytical instrument systems.
• Source and order supplies to ensure inventory of consumables and repair parts.
• Interact with customers/staff to provide expert instrument support and troubleshooting results.
• Draft and revise SOPs, calibration procedures, qualification protocols, and related documents.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and present information to management.
• Provide expert analysis and guidance on equipment policies and practices.
• Resolve questions and requirements; coordinate vendor feedback and resources as needed.
• Follow SOPs and maintain accurate equipment data, audits, and reviews.
• Promote teamwork and contribute to a positive workplace environment.
• Occasional overnight travel 25-50% depending on location.
