Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking an energetic Float Medical Assistant to support our physicians in podiatry/orthopedic clinics across Port Orange, Daytona Beach and New Smyrna as needed. The ideal candidate has MA experience, X-ray experience a plus, EMR proficiency (Athenahealth), and excellent communication and customer service skills to help our care team deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Eligibility includes reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug test;

Qualifications

• MA experience required or equivalent; podiatry/orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Proficient with EMR systems, preferably Athenahealth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professional demeanor.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare for physician
• Complete intake: medical history, social history, surgical history
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician
• Take and develop X-rays and assist in exam room as required
• Perform daily administrative tasks in exam rooms and clinic
• Sterilize exam and X-ray rooms and instruments daily
• Support quality measures and audits; travel to surrounding clinics as needed
• Coordinate with Nurse Practitioners and Care Navigators as needed
