Job summary

Upperline Health, Inc. is seeking an energetic Float Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering high-quality care in the clinic setting.

This role covers the Sand Lake area as needed and involves a range of clinical and administrative tasks to assist podiatry and orthopedic services. The ideal candidate will have MA experience, podiatry/orthopedic exposure, and x-ray familiarity, with strong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant; MA Certification is a plus.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience working with EMR systems, preferably athenahealth EMR.
• Effective communication with patient-facing empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for physician visits.
• Complete exam intake and document medical histories.
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician.
• Assist in the exam room and take/develop x-rays as required.
• Stock exam rooms and manage daily administrative tasks.
• Clean and sterilize exam and x-ray rooms after each patient.
• Travel to surrounding area clinics to provide support if needed.
• Coordinate with Nurses and Care Navigators as part of the care team.
