Job summary

Upperline Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to support physicians with clinical and administrative tasks across clinics, including Fernandina as needed. Ideal candidates have MA experience, podiatry/orthopedic exposure, and experience with X-ray and Athenahealth EMR; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant; MA Certification is a plus
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred
• X-ray experience is a plus
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Athenahealth
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Stable work history with reliability
• Must pass background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for physician visits
• Complete exam intake, including medical, social and surgical history
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician
• Take and develop X-rays and assist in the exam room as required
• Stock exam rooms and manage routine administrative tasks
• Clean and sterilize exam and X-ray rooms after each patient
• Travel to surrounding area clinics to provide support if needed
• Coordinate with Nurse Practitioners and Care Navigators as needed
