Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering complex health services in the clinic setting. This role covers Apopka, Orange City and Oviedo areas as needed and requires flexibility to travel among sites.

Responsibilities include patient intake, assisting with exams, taking x‑rays, and maintaining exam rooms and equipment. Prior podiatry/orthopedic EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant; MA Certification is a plus
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred
• X‑ray experience is a plus
• Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience working in Athenahealth EMR
• Effective written and spoken communication
• Stable work history and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for physicians' visits
• Complete intake by reviewing medical histories and relevant details
• Ensure accurate charting for physicians
• Take and develop x‑rays and assist in the exam room as needed
• Stock exam rooms and manage daily administrative tasks
• Sterilize exam and x‑ray rooms after each patient visit and at day end
• Travel to surrounding clinics to provide support when required
• Coordinate with care team to connect patients to extended services
