Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Nurse Case Manager to provide medical management for workers' compensation injuries in the Dayton, OH area, with travel up to 2 hours. The role requires a nursing degree and active RN license plus clinical experience in acute care.

Strong communication, organization, and leadership are essential. The position emphasizes collaboration with physicians, employers, and referral sources to optimize care and return-to-work outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree and 3+ years clinical experience in acute care setting required.
• Active RN license in state or states CM is performed.
• Willingness to travel within ~2 hour radius.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical evaluation and treatment.
• Meet with physician and injured worker to discuss treatment plan and return to work goals.
• Keep employer and referral source updated on medical status.
• Coordinate ancillary services (home health, equipment, physical therapy).
• Discuss and evaluate treatment results with physician and injured worker using evidence-based guidelines.
• Document case management observations, assessment, and plan.
• Generate reports and ongoing correspondence to referral source, employer, and providers.
• Maintain minimum caseload and monthly billable hours with high quality.
