Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS study, conducting in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households. The role involves travel, scheduling, and data collection, with daily data transmission and administrative duties.

Training is mandatory in January 2027, and assignments may include local and occasional long-distance travel, with some evenings and weekends expected. This is a part-time position with yearly data collection periods.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available for mandatory web-based training and Teams sessions in January 2027.
• Willing to travel for in-person training, local and occasional long-distance travel.
• Must be able to work minimum 20 hours per week when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households.
• Contact households, set appointments, conduct interviews, and collect documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily and complete administrative paperwork.
• Travel to MEPS training and sometimes other locations as required.
