Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Assembler to join our National Field Service team. You will travel across the United States, assembling heavy mining equipment on customer sites and performing field welding and maintenance.

The role requires extensive travel, long days, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience in heavy industrial settings, welding skills (AWS D1.1), and willingness to be on the road for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Certification in AWS D1.1 with successful completion of the FCAW welding test.
• Current MSHA training certification to ensure safety compliance in mining.
• Completion of rigging training enabling safe lifting and rigging.
• Able to be on the road 6 weeks at a time, 13–14 hour days.
• Welding experience is essential; 5G welding is preferred.
