Job summary

SugarCreek Packing Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment. You will help coordinate maintenance schedules with Operations Management to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation across production lines.

The role requires 2+ years of automated equipment experience, preferably in a food manufacturing setting, with strong troubleshooting and safety awareness. Some plant travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years with automated equipment preferred.
• Experience in a food manufacturing setting preferred.
• Willingness to travel between plants.
• Ability to read repair manuals and use diagnostic tools.
• Safety training and LOTO awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Dismantle and rebuild machinery for sanitation access.
• Use hand/power tools to replace defective parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance on drives, motors, belts, and filters.
• Review work orders and complete maintenance tasks promptly.
• Follow LOTO procedures at all times.
• Maintain daily shift maintenance reports.
• Coordinate with management to schedule maintenance.
• Provide multi-craft skills training.
• Ensure safety, food quality, and sanitation guidelines.
