Job summary

Sugar Creek Packing Co. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently at its Dayton, OH facility.

You will perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems, following LOTO and QA protocols. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in food manufacturing maintenance, electro-mechanical training, and the ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience with automated equipment.
• Experience with electrical/electronic responsibilities.
• Food manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• GED or High School Diploma; electro-mechanical training preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on equipment to diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
• Dismantle and rebuild machinery using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance inspecting drives, motors, belts, fluids.
• Review and complete work orders; follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Maintain safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives and communicate with Plant Management.
• Train and retain knowledge on relay logic and control devices such as VFDs, HMIs, sensors, and interlocks.
