Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Desktop Support Technician LOFT to support laptops and mobile devices issued to Mobile Operations Workers traveling internationally. Responsibilities include imaging, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Mac laptops, iPhones/iPads, and MiFi devices, plus security updates and policy enforcement.

The role requires at least one year in a helpdesk or IT support environment, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a US DOE clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 1 year of related IT/desk support experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain US DOE clearance and US citizenship.
• Experience with Windows and macOS laptops and device imaging; Intune familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Images, troubleshoots, and supports Windows and Mac laptops
• Sets up and maintains mobile equipment (iPhones, iPads, MiFi's)
• Prepares hardware for foreign travelers by installing software and updating security
• Trains MOWS on best practices and interfaces during foreign travel
• Collaborates with Import Export control on software inventories
• Assists users with questions about Laptops and Mobile Devices while traveling
• Tracks loaner devices and foreign traveler trips
• Uses Microsoft Deployment Toolkit for imaging
• Assist customers with phone setup and apps
• Educate clients about security and travel protocol and updates
• Ensure clear documentation
