Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks a Part-Time Archaeological Field Technician to support Phase I–III investigations. Fieldwork will occur across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions, with lodging and per diem provided.

A Bachelor's degree in anthropology or related field and a field school are required, with travel to project sites as needed. Applicants must be physically capable of demanding field tasks, be flexible with schedules, and able to travel non-locally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or Anthropology with an accredited field school completed.
• Willingness to travel non-local for project work.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project and Senior Archaeologists during Phase I-II field work across the South, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Northeast United States.
• Identify pre-contact or historic artifacts encountered during shovel test pit (STP) or test unit (TU) excavation.
• Travel flexibly to project sites as required.
