Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a part-time Archaeological Field Technician to assist with monitoring, Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III archaeological investigations, as needed. A bachelor's degree in anthropology or a related field and a field school are required.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Mid-Atlantic and southeastern United States. Candidate must be available for non-local travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
• Completed an accredited archaeological field school.
• Willingness to travel non-locally.
• Ability to perform physically demanding fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project and Senior Archaeologists during Phase I–III field work across multiple regions.
• Help identify artifacts encountered during STP or TU excavations.
• Travel as needed to project sites.
