Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a part-time Archaeological Field Technician to assist with monitoring and Phase I–III investigations across the U.S. A bachelor’s degree in anthropology or a related field and a field school are required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Mid-Atlantic and southeastern United States.

Candidate must be available for non-local travel. Lodging (individual hotel room) and per diem will be provided and/or reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
• Completion of an accredited archaeological field school.
• Willingness to travel non-locally.
• Ability to perform physically demanding fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist during Phase I–II field work across regions.
• Aid in identifying artifacts during excavation.
• Travel to project sites as required.
