Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a General Radiology position in Illinois. The role requires ARRT(R) certification, an Illinois IEMA Radiography License, and EPIC charting experience.

You will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, utilize PACS and EPIC EMR for charting, and help maintain equipment and safety protocols. The candidate should have trauma center experience, at least one year in the field, and be comfortable with travel assignments and cross-covering other

• Associate's Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• IEMA Radiography License (Illinois) required if applicable.
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required.
• Experience with venipuncture, IV and contrast administration, pregnancy screening.

Responsibilities

• Work in a General Radiology department performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Use PACS system and EPIC EMR for charting and data transfer.
• Maintain imaging equipment, inventories, and report safety events.
• Review cases with radiologists and supporting clinical data as needed.
• May assist in instructing students and new staff.

Job description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a General Radiology position requiring ARRT(R) certification, an Illinois IEMA Radiography License, and EPIC charting experience.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• IEMA Radiography License (Illinois) required - License required if applicable
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification required
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required
• Experience with venipuncture, IV and oral/rectal contrast administration, and pregnancy screening
• Ability to review radiology orders and patient history for medical necessity and completeness
• Ability to recognize and respond to adverse or allergic reactions

Responsibilities

• Work in a General Radiology department performing diagnostic imaging procedures
• Days shift, Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• 4x10 hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• Must be available to work holidays
• Uses PACS system and EPIC EMR for charting and image data transfer
• Performs radiographic procedures in accordance with department protocols and manufacturer guidelines
• Reviews cases with radiologists and supporting clinical data as needed
• Maintains imaging equipment, supply inventories, and reports service needs or safety events
• May assist in instructing students and new staff
• May perform duties of Rad Tech Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence
• May cross-cover other imaging modalities for which appropriate licensure is held
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
• Requested time off may not exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
