Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, performing imaging procedures, and using PACS/teleradiology. Requires CA licensure, CT certification, BLS, and two years of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
• RT(R)(CT) or RT license; CA Radiologic Tech license required.
• CT certification required or eligible; fluoroscopy license in California if fluoroscopy is used.
• BLS certification from an approved provider.
• Venipuncture certification required if contrast material is administered.
• Advanced CT certification required or preferred in some states; CA preferred.
• At least two years of radiology experience.
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and adhere to clinical and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation.
• Perform a variety of imaging procedures as assigned, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
• Use PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to the radiology team accurately.
• Maintain precise patient records, billing information, and image data; adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment and manage supply inventory.
• Assess and assist patients across adolescent through geriatric populations, ensuring safety and quality of imaging.
