Responsibilities

• Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue used for diagnosis.
• Perform CT procedures and a variety of imaging studies not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
• Position patients, select imaging parameters, ensure image quality, and minimize radiation exposure while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, monitor for adverse reactions or discomfort, and communicate findings to the radiology team as appropriate.
• Maintain clear documentation and archive images in the PACS; collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate interpretation.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols, infection control standards, and equipment maintenance; report equipment issues promptly.
