Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with CA licensure and ARRT-T certification for a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department. Day shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 40 hours per week with no on-call requirement.

The role requires ARRT-T and RTT certifications, California license, and BLS; 2+ years of experience in Radiation Therapy. Fluoroscopy permit is preferred. Elekta experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department
• Day shift schedule 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Administer ionizing irradiation per physician prescriptions
• Explain procedures to patients and monitor reactions
• Prepare treatment room and equipment and transfer patients
• Maintain accurate treatment records and review charts
• May supervise and evaluate student practical skills
• Vaccinations required with exemptions considered
• Local candidates accepted at travel rates
• Avoid candidates with prior licensure actions

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) required
• Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty with recent experience within the last 3 months
• Bachelor's degree in radiological technology or equivalent preferred
• Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice preferred

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Elekta equipment experience preferred but not required
• Administer ionizing irradiation to patients according to physician prescriptions and instructions
• Explain procedures and treatment to patients and monitor for reactions or complications during treatment
• Prepare treatment room and equipment, including immobilization devices, and transfer patients to the treatment couch
• Maintain accurate treatment records and review patient charts for completeness
• May provide clinical supervision and evaluation of student practical skills
• Required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
