Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting, requiring 1+ years IRF or SNF experience. The position supports a 60-bed unit with a brain-injury and stroke care focus; shift 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with every weekend required.

Candidates must have a license if applicable, AHA certifications, and must not reside within 60 miles of the facility or have recent LifePoint tenure.

• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting with a dedicated brain-injury unit and stroke care unit
• 60-bed unit with a patient ratio of 7 to 1
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (no younger than 13)
• Common diagnoses include neuro, ortho, debility, and cardiac conditions
• Uses specialized equipment including EKSO, InMotion UE Robotic, and Body Weight Support systems
• Documentation performed in UDS and Epic
• Shift from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with every weekend required
• No call or float requirements
• Strong teamwork, communication, work ethic, and responsibility are valued traits for this role
• Black scrubs required
• Report time is 7:30 AM, with parking available in the front lot
• Candidates must not reside within 60 miles of the facility
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
