American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an acute rehab unit in Oklahoma. Requires 2+ years of inpatient rehab and PTA experience, plus Oklahoma license and BLS.

Position is 13 weeks, day shifts 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, some weekends/holidays. Travel experience preferred; compact license not accepted. Housing and licensure reimbursements provided; comprehensive benefits offered.

Current Oklahoma state license required if applicable
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
Minimum 2 years of inpatient rehab and PTA experience required
Recent travel healthcare experience preferred
Compact license not accepted for this position

Responsibilities

Acute inpatient rehabilitation unit at a regional referral center serving nearly every medical specialty
Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Some weekend and holiday coverage required
No on-call requirements
13-week assignment length
Perform selected physical therapy procedures and related tasks under supervision of a registered Physical Therapist
Treat patients using modalities and exercise in accordance with approved treatment plans
Complete documentation including daily notes and discharge data
Assist in maintaining the department in a neat and orderly manner
Accepts local candidates at a reduced rate
No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
Former direct employees of the facility are not eligible to return through an agency until 6 months after their previous employment ends
