Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Physical Therapist for our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. Requires 1+ year of experience and an active PT license. The role features a day shift, 8a–4:30p, with 40 hours weekly and weekend coverage as needed.

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation per regulatory standards. Epic EMR is used for charting and supervision of PT aides and students will be involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation.
• Current PT license in applicable state or PT Compact license.
• BLS certification required (AHA, not expiring before start).
• QI credentialing preferred.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient rehabilitation therapy and patient evaluations.
• Develop treatment plans and document per standards.
• Supervise PT assistants and support staff.
• Use Epic EMR for charting.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, nurses and staff about care goals.
• Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives.
• May assist with scheduling, mentoring, and supply management.
• Weekend coverage as needed; 40 hours/week; day shift 8a–4:30p.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy unit
• Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Weekend coverage as needed with advanced notice
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Responsible for patient evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
• Supervises physical therapy assistants, aides, office staff, and students
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care and goals
• Participates in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives, including equipment operation and clinical outcome tracking
• May assist with department operations such as scheduling, mentoring, and supply management
• Returning Intermountain employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
