Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Chesapeake, Virginia. The PT will evaluate and implement a plan of care for varied patient populations in an acute care setting, supervising PTAs and therapy staff, and ensuring timely documentation and billing per guidelines.

Requirements include BLS and state licensing; 6 months of experience preferred (6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates).

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• BLS and state-specific licensing required.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for diverse patient populations in acute care.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within facility guidelines and adhere to state regulations.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks and documentation.
