Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an immediate opening in North Chesterfield, Virginia. This 13-week assignment requires 40 hours per week, with 10-hour day shifts, and requires BLS and state licensing.

The PT will evaluate patients, develop and implement a care plan, supervise PTAs, and collaborate with physicians and center staff to ensure a team-based approach. 1 year of experience is preferred, but 6 months may be considered for strong candidates.

Qualifications

• Travel PT experience and ability to work in diverse settings.
• Acute care experience is preferred.
• Team collaboration with therapists, nurses, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan patient care in acute care.
• Oversee PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within setting and follow facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center staff and physicians for a team-based plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and perform plan-of-care adjustments.
• Use hospital computer systems and document per state/insurance rules.
