Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Fork Union, Virginia. The role requires 40 hours per week, with 8-hour daytime shifts and travel employment status. A minimum of 6 months of experience is requested, with BLS and state licensing mandatory for practice.

The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for diverse patient populations in acute care, coordinating with PTAs, doctors, and center staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility.
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within the respective state.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition.
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
