Sharp Brains is seeking a POS Terminal Support Technician for a contract role covering Columbia/Greenville area. The position requires hands-on POS hardware experience, field service skills, and the ability to travel between retail locations to install, troubleshoot, and maintain POS systems.

Ideal candidates will handle hardware diagnostics, network connectivity (Ethernet/TCP/IP/Wi‑Fi), and provide excellent customer service during onsite visits. Travel locally is required.

Qualifications

• Experience installing or supporting POS systems.
• Hands-on POS hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Field service or onsite technical support experience.
• Basic understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support POS terminals at retail locations.
• Troubleshoot POS hardware and connectivity issues.
• Perform basic hardware diagnostics and replacements.
• Support Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Wi‑Fi connectivity.
• Provide onsite technical assistance to customers and end users.
• Travel locally between assigned locations.
• Ensure POS equipment functions properly and issues are resolved.
• Maintain professional communication with customers during visits.
