Job summary

Sharp Brains is seeking customer-focused POS Terminal Support Technicians to support a large-scale retail technology deployment across multiple Florida locations.

Ideal candidates install, maintain, and troubleshoot POS systems with a background in field service, hardware support, or retail technology. Travel locally to customer sites is required and on-site support is provided at retail locations.

Qualifications

• Maintain professional communication with customers during service visits.

POS Terminal Support Technician

Max PR: $20-25/hr

Location: Columbia/ Greenville

Employment Type: Contract

Must have a personal vehicle and a valid driver's license to travel between assigned retail customer locations

Position Overview

Sharp Brains is seeking customer-focused POS Terminal Support Technicians to support a large-scale retail technology deployment throughout Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support POS terminals at retail customer locations.
• Troubleshoot POS hardware and connectivity issues.
• Perform basic hardware diagnostics, break/fix, and equipment replacement.
• Support Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Wi‑Fi connectivity troubleshooting.
• Provide onsite technical assistance to customers and end users.
• Travel locally between assigned customer locations.
• Ensure POS equipment is functioning properly and issues are resolved efficiently.
• Maintain professional communication with customers throughout service visits.

Candidates should be comfortable working onsite at retail locations and providing hands-on technical support.
