Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in Teaneck, NJ is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams, ensure exceptional customer service, uphold brand standards and food safety, and help train new team members.

You will manage opening, daily and closing tasks, operate the POS, handle cash, stock and maintain product knowledge while providing friendly service and complying with policies.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures, including wrapping, labeling, dating and stocking.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, cooking, packaging and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products and maintain knowledge of plaza offerings.
• Assist in training new team members and communicate observations to leadership.
