Applegreen is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run day-to-day operations across our travel plazas. This role offers entry-level managers a path to learn critical leadership and discretion skills.

You will deliver feedback, supervise staff, coach shift supervisors, and step in for the GM when needed, while upholding brand standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quick-service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Confidently delivering performance feedback, setting goals, fostering teamwork, and communicating business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Maintain strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues promptly and ensure policies and brand standards are followed.
• Keep restaurant clean, inviting, and aligned with brand standards.
• Ensure accurate cash management and daily reporting per directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long‑term relationships.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via spot counts and checks.
