Job Summary

As one of the frontline positions for the company, this role is integral to the company's success. The ideal candidate would be energetic, outgoing, people-oriented, and self-motivated, with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer focus. The primary purpose of a Customer Service Associate is to interact directly with customers, providing fast and friendly service while ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

1. Customer Service: Greet customers courteously, provide a pleasant shopping experience, respond to inquiries promptly, handle complaints per company policies, and recommend products based on product knowledge.
2. Cash Handling: Operate point of sale equipment accurately, process transactions efficiently, perform till balancing at shifts' start and end, and maintain cash drawer levels.
3. Stock Control: Receive and stock merchandise, lift up to 50 pounds following proper procedures, keep stock area clean and presentable, apply FIFO system, and manage damaged or expired stock appropriately.
4. Security & Loss Prevention: Control store contents, prevent theft, and secure premises at closing.
5. Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness standards, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, and restroom sanitation.
6. Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members, assist in training, and communicate issues promptly to management.
7. Occupational Health & Safety: Follow safety protocols, use handling equipment properly, and report unsafe conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Physically capable of standing for long hours.
• Pass a background check.
• Obtain a “Class C” operator certification.
