Job Summary

As one of the frontline positions for the company, this role is integral to the company's success. The ideal candidate would be energetic, outgoing, people-oriented, and self-motivated, with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer focus. The primary purpose of a Customer Service Associate is to interact directly with customers and provide fast, friendly service while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers courteously, provide a pleasant shopping experience, respond to inquiries promptly, handle complaints according to policies, and develop product knowledge to recommend items.
• Cash Handling: Operate POS equipment accurately, process sales efficiently, perform till balancing, and maintain cash drawer levels.
• Stock Control: Receive and stock merchandise following company policies, lift up to 50 pounds safely, ensure stock is clean and organized, apply FIFO, and manage damaged or expired stock properly.
• Security & Loss Prevention: Control store security, prevent theft, and secure premises at closing.
• Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, restrooms, and parking lot.
• Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members, assist new employees, and communicate issues to management.
• Occupational Health & Safety: Follow safety policies, handle materials properly, report unsafe practices, and ensure a safe environment for all.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Physically able to stand for long hours.
• Pass a background check.
• Able to obtain a “Class C” operator certification.
