Job Summary

As one of the frontline positions for the company, this role is integral to the company's success. The ideal candidate would be energetic, outgoing, people-oriented, and self-motivated, with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer focus. The primary purpose of a Customer Service Associate is to interact directly with customers and provide fast, friendly service while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Greet customers courteously, ensure a pleasant shopping experience, respond to inquiries promptly, handle complaints per company policies, develop product knowledge, and recommend products.
2. Cash Handling: Operate point of sale equipment accurately, process sales efficiently, perform till balancing at shift start and end, and maintain cash drawer levels.
3. Stock Control: Receive and stock merchandise following company policies, lift up to 50 pounds safely, keep stock neat and presentable, apply FIFO, and manage damaged/outdated stock appropriately.
4. Security & Loss Prevention: Maintain control of store contents, use prevention techniques to minimize loss, and secure premises during closing.
5. Cleanliness: Maintain high cleanliness standards, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, restrooms, and parking lot.
6. Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members, assist new staff, and communicate issues to management timely.
7. Occupational Health & Safety: Perform duties safely, follow safety policies, handle materials properly, and report unsafe conditions.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Physically capable of standing for long hours.
• Pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a “Class C” operator certification.
