Job Summary

This frontline position is vital to the company's success. The ideal candidate is energetic, outgoing, people-oriented, and self-motivated, with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high customer focus. The primary role of a Customer Service Associate is to interact directly with customers, providing fast and friendly service while ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

1. Customer Service: Greet customers courteously, provide a pleasant shopping experience, respond promptly to inquiries, handle complaints per company policies, and develop product knowledge for recommendations.
2. Cash Handling: Operate point of sale equipment accurately, process sales efficiently, perform till balancing at shift start and end, and maintain cash drawer levels.
3. Stock Control: Receive and stock merchandise following company policies, lift up to 50 pounds safely, ensure stock is neat and presentable, apply FIFO system, and remove damaged or expired stock.
4. Security & Loss Prevention: Maintain control of store contents, use prevention techniques to minimize loss, and secure premises at closing.
5. Cleanliness: Maintain high cleanliness standards, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, and restrooms.
6. Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members, assist in training new staff, and communicate concerns to management.
7. Occupational Health & Safety: Perform duties safely, follow safety policies, handle materials properly, and report unsafe conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Physically able to stand for long hours.
• Pass a background check.
• Able to obtain a “Class C” operator certification.
