Job Summary

As one of the frontline positions for the company, this role is integral to the company's success. The ideal candidate would be energetic, outgoing, people-oriented, and self-motivated, with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer focus. The primary purpose of a Customer Service Associate is to interact directly with customers, providing fast and friendly service while ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

1. Customer Service: Greet customers courteously, respond to inquiries promptly, handle complaints according to company policies, develop product knowledge, and recommend products.
2. Cash Handling: Operate POS equipment accurately, process sales efficiently, perform till balancing, and maintain cash drawer levels.
3. Stock Control: Receive and stock merchandise, follow FIFO, ensure stock is clean and presentable, and remove damaged or expired stock.
4. Security & Loss Prevention: Control store security, prevent theft, and secure premises at closing.
5. Cleanliness: Maintain high cleanliness standards, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning customer areas and restrooms.
6. Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members, assist others, and communicate issues to management.
7. Occupational Health & Safety: Follow safety policies, handle materials safely, and report unsafe conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Physically capable of standing for long hours.
• Pass background check.
• Able to pass a “Class C” operator certification.

Additional Details

Position is entry level, full-time, in the retail industry. Management reserves the right to revise duties as needed.
