Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in Clyde, OH seeks an Assistant General Manager for Erie Islands Travel Plaza. You will support the General Manager to ensure daily store operations run smoothly and coach a team of associates.

The role provides hands-on management training with a focus on performance, leadership, customer service, and adherence to brand standards. Earned wage access, education assistance, and other benefits are available.

Qualifications

• The Assistant General Manager helps the General Manager to ensure that day-to-day business operations run smoothly.
• This position provides an opportunity for entry-level managers to learn important management skills and practice judgment and discretion skills.
• Strong Leadership and organizational skills are required.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude are essential.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice is expected.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates and coach shift supervisors to improve store operations.
• Perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure policies are followed.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and reports are delivered daily.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Conduct spot inventory checks to verify data accuracy.
