Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an experienced Retail Store Assistant Manager for Erie Islands Travel Plaza in Ohio. The role supports the General Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and provides entry-level management opportunities to learn important skills and exercise judgment.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coaching shifts supervisors, maintaining brand standards, managing cash, and resolving customer issues to foster positive relationships.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise daily operations and non-management associates; coach and develop shifts supervisors.
• Step in and perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff,especially during low morale periods.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues promptly and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure clean, inviting restaurant appearance.
