Job summary

Healthforce Healthcare LLC seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel LTAC assignment in Cape May, New Jersey. The 13-week engagement starts 11/02/2026 with 35 guaranteed hours per week, and a daily shift from 08:00 to 16:30.

You will provide PTA services under supervision in a long-term care setting, document progress, assist with transfers and mobility, and collaborate with nursing, PT/OT/Speech teams to support comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program (Associate degree).
• Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a PTA in New Jersey.
• CPR/BLS certification recommended.
• Ability to work effectively in a long-term care LTAC setting.
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience or comfort with geriatric populations and therapy-related safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PTA services under PT supervision in a long-term care LTAC setting.
• Implement and monitor components of the prescribed plan of care, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, ROM, and functional mobility.
• Document patient progress, outcomes, and any changes in status in the medical record.
• Assist with patient positioning, safety, pain management support, and activity tolerance during therapy.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nursing, PT, OT, speech therapy) to support comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in discharge planning and communication with family or caregivers as appropriate.
