Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an acute care assignment in Terrell, Texas. This travel role spans 13 weeks, with 40 hours per week, typically 8-hour daytime shifts.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of PT experience (6 months acceptable for exceptional backgrounds) and current BLS and state licensure. You will evaluate patients, develop and modify care plans, supervise PTAs, and coordinate with medical center staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Must have BLS and state licensing.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Comply with state PT board rules.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians for a team-based plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as patient needs change.
• Use Medical Center computer systems and document per guidelines.
