Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Inpatient Rehab unit in a short-term acute care hospital. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience and offers a day shift (7:00 AM–3:00 PM).

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, manage patient assessments and documentation, and participate in a 1:1 patient model with weekend coverage as needed. Epic charting is used for charting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Compact state license must be in hand at submission.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Experience with inpatient rehab populations (ortho, neuro, cardiopulmonary).
• Strong assessment, adaptive devices, gait training and therapeutic exercise skills.
• Experience with Hoyer lifts, gait belts, walkers and specialty beds.
• Strong documentation and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Rehabilitation unit within a short-term acute care hospital.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
• Patient 1:1 ratio.
• Weekend shifts required (Tue-Sat or Sun-Thu).
• May float between units and sister facilities as needed.
• No on-call requirements.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Evaluate, plan treatments and document for inpatient rehab patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to support recovery goals.
• Scrub color is flexible; business casual for certain roles.
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays.
• All RTO and scheduling requests to be submitted upfront during application.
• First-time travelers welcome to apply.
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius may have lower bill rate.
• Former employees may return after 3-month waiting period if outside 50-mile radius.
• No parking fees at this facility.
