Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ years of experience to treat pediatric and adult orthopedic and neuro patients in a freestanding outpatient clinic.

The role requires EPIC EMR proficiency, BLS, and Missouri licensure. Expect a 4x10 schedule (Mon & Wed-Fri), with no on-call or weekend shifts, and a busy daily caseload of 75–90 patients across ages.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
BLS certification required
Missouri license required (license required if applicable)
Manual therapy certification required
Wound care certification preferred
EPIC EMR experience required
Skills in home exercise programs, lifting and transfers, patient/family education, and safety and injury prevention required
Experience recognizing signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse required

Responsibilities

Freestanding outpatient clinic setting
Patient population includes adult and pediatric orthopedic and neurological conditions, all ages
Daily patient load of approximately 75-90 patients
Schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday and Wednesday-Friday, with Tuesdays and weekends off
No on-call requirements
No floating required outside of scope
EPIC EMR used for charting
Main responsibilities include outpatient evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and neurological patients across the lifespan
Facility is a critical access hospital with 35 staffed beds
Dress code requires a solid-colored collared shirt (polo or athletic style), black dockers or athletic pants, and tennis shoes or loafers; no logos or sleeveless tops permitted
First-time travelers are accepted
Pending license candidates may be accepted
Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with manager approval required for additional time off or holiday RTO; no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
Returning permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler; returning travelers require an 18-month tenure with a 3-month break in service
