Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of outpatient experience for a day-shift assignment in an outpatient clinic setting.

The role involves evaluating and treating a varied caseload including orthopedic and neurologic conditions, applying modalities, and developing individualized treatment plans. You will supervise assistants and coordinate with physicians, while supporting travel opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year outpatient PT experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with assessment, body mechanics, and orthopedic/neurologic conditions preferred.
• Knowledge of home exercise programs and patient/family education.
• Comfortable working with charting systems.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient PT clinic setting.
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Treat a varied caseload including orthopedic, neurologic, post-surgical, and work-injury patients.
• Utilize modalities and exercise equipment available in the facility.
• Perform specialized testing such as WorkSTEPS, APET, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and ergonomic assessments.
• Evaluate and treat patients per physician referral or direct access.
• Supervise PTAs and PT technicians in care plan execution.
• Maintain communication with referring physicians and rehab nurses regarding progress.
• Understand and apply billing codes for various payer types.
• May assist with community outreach, marketing, and referral source development.
• Open to first-time travelers.
