Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC seeks a Phlebotomist (6130) for a Bloomington, IN area contract role with potential for permanent placement. You will float to Bloomington and nearby communities, performing venipunctures, labeling, and specimen processing while ensuring patient comfort.

The schedule is 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with mileage reimbursement and benefits available. Prior pediatric phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and per test orders.
• Explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process clearly and courteously.
• Prepare specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocol.
