Mileage expenses are paid, with potential for permanent placement after approximately three months. Requires a valid phlebotomy certification, minimum 2 years of experience with pediatric exposure, and reliable transportation with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED
• minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures; explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and/or butterfly needles as required.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes; ensure 100% accuracy of labeling and testing orders.
• Package specimens for transport and follow OSHA/DEP regulations; attend trainings; respond to inquiries.
