Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to support patient care across our Illinois sites, including Waukegan, Gurnee, Round Lake Beach, Zion, North Chicago, and Deerfield. You will perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections, enter data accurately, and ensure quality specimens for testing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and flexibility to travel to multiple sites; typical schedule is Monday–Friday with 40 hours per week and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Two years or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
