Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team across multiple sites in Chicago, Palos Heights, Tinley Park and Joliet, IL. Typical schedule is Mon-Fri with hours between 6:00am-8:00pm and rotating Saturdays, totaling about 40 hours per week.

The role involves blood collection, data entry, billing support, and travel to additional sites as needed. Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or training; 2+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
